What is the difference between a silk scarf and a twilly?
A silk scarf is usually square and large enough to tie at the neck or in the hair. A twilly is a narrow strip of silk, around 5–6 cm wide, made to wrap around a bag handle, a wrist or a ponytail.
How do I tie a twilly on a bag?
Knot one end at the base of the handle, wrap the silk around the handle at a slight angle and knot the other end. Or simply tie it in a bow on one side.
How should I care for silk?
Hand wash in cool water with a gentle detergent, or dry clean. Do not wring it. Dry flat away from direct sunlight and iron on a low setting.
