How to choose a leather shoulder bag
Think first about size. A bag of around 25 × 26 cm holds a phone, a wallet, keys, sunglasses and a small make-up pouch, which is enough for most days and still neat enough for dinner. A slimmer bag of about 5 cm deep sits flat under the arm and is easier to carry to weddings and evenings out. Then look at how the bag is carried. All our shoulder bags have a top handle, so they work as a classic handbag, and a strap you can attach for the shoulder. The Navona strap can also be worn crossbody when you need your hands free. Finally, choose a finish: smooth leather for a clean look, quilted leather for softness and light, or a textured or embossed surface that hides small marks.

The Navona is our signature top-handle bag, named after Piazza Navona and finished with the gold AF logo. It measures 25 × 26 × 11 cm, has two compartments and a zipped pocket, and closes with a magnet. Carry it by the handle or clip on the detachable strap and wear it on the shoulder or crossbody. It comes in four finishes: white nubuck, smooth black, black textured and black honeycomb-embossed leather.
The Navona Classic is the same shape in smooth black full-grain leather: the black leather handbag that goes with everything, from tailoring at the office to a dress in the evening.
The Alita is our bestselling bag. Soft quilting, gold-tone hardware and a compact 26 × 20 × 5 cm shape make it an elegant choice for evenings, weddings and everyday wear. Inside there are two zip compartments and a card slot, and the detachable strap turns it from a small handbag into a shoulder bag.
The Trevi is a structured full-grain leather handbag with a timeless outline, 25 × 26 × 11 cm, with gold-tone hardware, a magnetic closure and a removable, adjustable strap. It comes in four colours: black, light blue, red and yellow.
Which colour to choose
Black is the easiest colour to wear every day and the one we suggest first. White and light blue lift denim, navy and summer dresses, and still look polished with grey and camel in winter. Red and yellow are statement colours that turn a simple outfit into something more considered. If you are choosing one bag for most of the year, start with black; if you already have a black bag, a colour is the more joyful second choice.

Caring for Italian leather
When you are not using your bag, fill it lightly with paper so it keeps its shape, and store it away from direct sunlight and heat. Wipe smooth leather with a soft, dry cloth; brush nubuck gently with a soft brush. Quilted and light-coloured leather benefit from a gentle clean a little more often.
